| The PL-80340, an Intel® server-grade platform. Developed for network service applications, it features the Intel® 5520 chipset (Tylersburg) which supports Intel® QuickPath Interconnects at 6.4 GT/s, 5.86 GT/s, and 4.8 GT/s speed. The chipset works with socketed Intel® Xeon® Processor 5500 Series (Nehalem). This platform features the Intel QuickPath Interconnect. Intel QuickPath Interconnect is Intel’s new generation point-to-point system interconnect interface. This interconnect replaces the Front Side Bus. The chipset delivers up to 32 lanes Express 2.0 interface. |

| PL-80340 delivers outstanding computing performance. In addition to dual Nehalem Core Xeon processors PL-80340 can give 12 (total six channels with three channels per CPU) 1333/1066/800MHz DDR3 system memory slots which support ECC and parity protection mechanisms to protect internal data paths. |

| Designed for the Enterprise market, the platform offers redundancy and flexibility of design to maintain platform availability and serviceability. PL-80340 provides a 1+1 redundant power supply, hot swappable HDD trays and system fan module to address server grade requirements. Providing a modularized system, the PL-80340 offers many different options for Ethernet port connectivity for flexible pre-installation such as 10x Gigabit SFP+, Gigabit copper (by-pass function for option), Gigabit fiber (by-pass function for option) and combination ports. The max capacity for the unit is 24 GbE ports. |

| To enhance network security performance, PL-80340 solders max four Cavium Nitrox-PX 16xx on system to provide hardware-level cryptographic acceleration. This arrangement leaves more CPU computing power for higher layer packet processing. For the storage subsystem, PL-80340 designs in one CompactFlash socket and four hot swappable SATA trays which can support 0, 1, 5, 10 software RAID supported by Intel® system chipset; or hardware-based RAID which is supported by an extra RAID card plugged onto a PCI-e expansion slot. |
