This long-time WIN Enterprises OEM customer designs and manufactures compact keyboards, industrial LCD displays, and compact, durable computers. WIN contributes to their leadership position by designing and manufacturing motherboards for the Company’s all-in-one computers. These are purpose-built computers designed for use in applications with limited space and significant mobility requirements. Often, applications are in the areas of security, surveillance, critical response, and law enforcement.

The Problem: The customer required a purpose-built motherboard that provided the compute power demanded by surveillance and other security applications, but with the small form factor of a mobile platform.

The Solution: WIN helped design a purpose-built motherboard that provided high value/performance, as well as energy efficiency. WIN delivered state-of-the-art motherboards to support the Company’s specialized machines without sacrificing the computing power of conventional computers, but with the small form factor demanded by mobile applications.

Have It Your Way: Although WIN is able to deliver a complete system and does so for other of its customers, in this case, the plastic injection molding and final assembly all are executed at the customer’s headquarters. This approach enabled the customer to leverage WIN’s board-level design and manufacturing skills, as well as its own core competencies.
